No compromise of LCFS in new California climate bills

(Source: Biodiesel Magazine) The Low Carbon Fuels Coalition praised the passage of the SB 32 and AB 197, saying they contained “absolutely no compromise” of the state’s low carbon fuel standard (LCFS).

“The LCFC will now turn to the tasks at hand—extending the specific carbon intensity reductions of the LCFS to 2030, and working with all stakeholders to develop sound and robust low carbon fuel policies that fulfill the mandates of SB 32 and AB 197.” said Graham Noyes, the LCFC executive director. The LCFC further stated that the LCFS credit market surged 15 percent after the news broke.
