South Korea launches world’s second largest carbon market

(Source: ClimateProgress) South Korea officially launched its cap-and-trade program on 12 January, assigning a cap of 1.687 MMtCO2e for a three-year period. Experts estimate that the price for carbon permits in South Korea will start at less than $10 and increase to about $30 by 2017. Read full article
