California Carbon is hosting a webinar: Marginal costs curves comparing the major credit generation pathways for the North American Clean Fuels Standards (NA CFS). To determine the most financially viable projects, we will compare forecasted falls in generation costs of pathways with the forecasted falls of credit prices.
Most market analysts expect CFS credit prices to fall over the second-half of the coming decade, our forecasts echo this sentiment. Falling prices will be sure to squeeze the margins on certain credit generation projects. In some cases a race to the bottom between falling marginal abatement costs and falling credit prices may determine the investment success of such projects.
There is a great deal of new interest and money flowing into this sector, not all of it will be well-placed. Our analysis will determine which pathways are built on the best long-term financial foundations, and as such will discern which projects are likely to be the most suitable for investment.
This webinar is free for all.
